Selling at Auction

All auctions have online bidding worldwide and every lot is photographed, giving your items every exposure possible.  Our illustrated online catalogue is available to view a week before the auction at http://www.the-saleroom.com/charles-ross

 

Prior to the Sale

Once your items have been consigned, we will send you a Pre-sale Advice letter detailing the lot numbers, descriptions, estimates and reserves prior to the items going online. If you have any questions upon receipt of this letter, please give the office a call on 01525 290502.  (Please check your spam folder for communications from us)

 

After the Sale

You will receive a Post-sale Advice letter after the auction, detailing the hammer price of lots sold.  Settlement is usually made 4 weeks after the auction, subject to normal business conditions. Payment will be made by bank transfer directly into your account.  (Please check your spam folder for communications from us)

 

Charges

  • Commission to the vendor is 17.5% + VAT
  • Entry fee: £5 per lot + VAT
  • 1% charge for insurance + VAT
