The Team at Woburn
Russell Beard is the proprietor of Charles Ross Fine Art Auctioneers Ltd and Holloway’s Auctioneers in Banbury, which forms part of a larger group of companies for which he is responsible. As well as auctioneering our monthly sales, Russell is a well known charity auctioneer.
Tracey has been with the company for 10 years and is the first point of contact. Tracey looks after our office, co-ordinating our auctions and managing the administration of vendors and purchasers. She is responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the office, dealing with queries, producing typed Probate and Insurance valuations.
Tom joined the company in March 2018 as a trainee valuer and has a very wide ranging interest in antiques, particularly entertainment memorabilia, militaria and British Art. Tom is also responsible for the online illustrations and background research of unusual items.
I have spent all of my working life within one sector or another of the antiques business. My parents were dealers in the 1960s and 1970s and I spent my early days in the salesrooms of the Midlands.
As my experience lay mainly in period furniture and wooden artefacts. I embarked on a ten year study of ceramics and all of the other disciplines an auctioneer can be expected to have an informed opinion about. During this time I developed a growing interest in Oriental ceramics and all things esoteric (the whacky stuff that everyone usually runs a mile from!)
Jenny has worked with Holloways, now part of the Charles Ross group, for 14 years as their jewellery consultant. Previously she worked for Bonhams in London as a consultant running their Gentlemen’s sales and originally in their silver and jewellery departments. She specialises in cufflinks and gentlemen’s accessories and has lectured on this subject here and in America. She also helped curate The Goldsmith’s Hall Cufflink Exhibition and has worked with The Royal Collection.
